VCCS Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy for Financial Aid. The following is effective July 1, 2011. Students will be evaluated using these st和ards.
Some career studies certificate programs (i.e., shorter than 16 credits in total length) are ineligible for student financial aid, but those credits will be counted toward 所有 SAP requirements (GPA, 完成率, 最大的时间, 和 Developmental Maximum) if the student later enrolls in an eligible program.

In order to graduate, a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0是必需的.
Total Number of Creadits Attempted |
---|---|
1-15 | 1.5 |
16-30 | 1.75 |
31+ | 2.0 |
Unless extenuating circumstances exist 和 an appeal is granted (see “IV. Appeals” for additional information),
如果符合标准, eligibility is regained for subsequent terms of enrollment in the academic year.
Students appealing a suspension must:
如果上诉未获批准, the student may carry his/her appeal to the Academic St和ards, 奖学金, 及资助委员会. This request must be made in writing to the Financial Aid Office.
Appeals to Academic St和ards Committee:
视情况而定, the student could be required to complete additional requirements (i.e., see a career counselor or another type of counselor, meet with an advisor to develop an academic progress plan for completion, 限制人数, 等.),上诉才获批准. The goal is to help the student get back on track for graduation. 在上诉委员会已经考虑后,对终止经济援助资格提出上诉, 学生必须完成 所有 of the following prior to submitting a subsequent appeal:
Appeals will be approved or denied based on the above criteria. Students who have appeals approved will be in probationary status for the coming term. 试用期间, 学生必须满足由财政援助办公室传达给他或她的上诉条件, or the student will return to suspension. If an academic progress plan has been pre-approved by financial aid,
